Choose 3 or 4 players and the board option shown above. This scenario has one illustrated setup. The preplaced pieces and pirate start stay in their authored positions. An unsupported choice is reported clearly instead of being changed for you.

- Setup guidance: The board follows the arrangement shown in the rulebook. Harbor types may be mixed across their authored harbor locations.
- Use the setup inventory to gather tiles, number discs, ports, markers, and supplied pieces before play.
At the table
This scenario follows the illustrated arrangement. The board includes the preplaced fortresses, lairs, beachheads, settlements, ships, and pirate marker shown by the setup. Use the inventory to check those pieces, then follow the rulebook for pirate movement and the opening turns.
